Posting: 2026-221: Probationary ICT Field Technician

Reporting to the Information & Communications Technology Service Desk Supervisor, the Information & Communications Technology Field Technician is responsible to use the service desk system to prioritize and plan, create, and complete customer support requests both in person and through remote control means.

Qualifications:

• BSc/BA/College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field from a recognized post-secondary institution or understanding of network topologies, LAN and WAN, and telecommunications
• Relevant certifications (e.9. CompTlA A+, CompTlA Network+, ACSP, MCSE or MCSA) will be an advantage
• Minimum of 1-2 years in-depth experience with Entra ID, Microsoft Windows , Microsoft Office, Chrome OS, macOS
• Exposure to general networking protocols, specifically TCP/IP as well as system management
• Understanding of network topologies, LAN and WAN, and telecommunications
• Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Dedicated commitment to system uptime, and end-user experience
• A passion for learning and continuous improvement
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
• An Ontario Driver's License and access to an automobile
• Basic Knowledge of Voice and Data Cabling
• Microsoft Office experience
• Apple MacBooks/iPads administration
