About the Job: As a Senior Performance Testing Engineer, you will be a key member of a collaborative and dynamic team of technical experts passionate about delivering efficient and effective technology solutions to support evolving business needs across our core services. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand technology requirements, evaluate application architectures, and design robust performance test plans. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining performance test strategies to simulate system behavior, inject load, and analyze performance metrics from application and system logs. Your work will involve defining test objectives, acceptance criteria, workload profiles, and use case scenarios, as well as identifying and resolving complex performance issues. A strong enthusiasm for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and clear communication is essential, as you will serve as a subject matter expert across multiple high-impact initiatives. The Senior Performance Testing Engineer plays a vital role in enhancing the overall performance, reliability, and stability of enterprise applications across the organization. Office Location: Toronto Employment Type: Permanent Role Type: New position – current requirement Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in office) Position Responsibilities: Performance Test Planning & Execution Evaluate application architectures and design performance test plans Create and maintain performance test strategies using NeoLoad , Jmeter, and LoadRunner Establish performance test objectives, acceptance criteria, workload profiles, and use case scenarios Work closely with development teams, architects and engineers to test their products under load and make recommendations to improve performance, reliability and stability
Monitoring, Analysis & Optimization Measure and analyze performance data from workloads, systems, and applications Analyze metrics from application and system logs to simulate system behavior Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and stability
Problem Solving & Technical Expertise Solve complex problems and provide clear, concise reports with recommendations Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Communicate findings effectively and collaborate with development teams, architects, and engineers
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal and external customers to understand technology requirements for key projects Join a collaborative and dynamic team of technical experts focused on delivering effective Technology solutions Serve as a performance engineering resource on multiple initiatives of diverse scope
Requirements Required Qualifications: 7+ years’ experience writing and updating performance LOAD test scripts in Neoload, LoadRunner and Jmeter Ability to interpret performance metrics (e.g., latency, CPU usage, memory consumption). Demonstrated ability to problem solve, including ability to diagnose bottlenecks. Computer and programing skills, Often requires scripting or coding knowledge (e.g., Python, Java) to customize tests. Experience working with other load testing tools like Locust, SOAPUI, Microsoft Visual Studio Analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Basic understanding of system architecture & databases. Strong self-driven collaborator with ability to work in diverse teams as a contributing member
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of quality assurance and project implementation methodologies Knowledge of SQL for querying databases Experience with Agile environments and methodology International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) and Agile certifications Experience on Public Cloud (Google Cloud or AWS)
Benefits Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000 CAD/ year The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
