Role: API Developer Location: Kitchener, ON Hiring Mode: Contract (6+ Months) Work Type: Hybrid

Pay: CAD 50/hr.

Role Description: We are seeking an experienced API Developer with strong expertise in cloud platforms, system integration, and API technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing APIs in Agile environments and working with modern data streaming solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support APIs using industry-standard technologies Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCP Implement and manage data streaming solutions using Kafka Perform system integrations across multiple platforms Contribute to software/application design and development within Agile teams Utilize tools within the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) Maintain and manage code repositories using Git

Required (Essential) Skills: Relevant experience with AWS and/or GCP Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka 2+ years of experience with system integration 2+ years of experience with API concepts and technologies: REST JSON XML SOAP YAML Swagger/OpenAPI Specification 2+ years of software/application design and development in an Agile environment Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
