Nature & Scope

Reporting into the Director, Data& Analytics, the Salesforce Administrator serves as the dedicated in-house systems lead for YMCA BC, supporting the Child Care and Community Programs portfolios by administering, configuring, and optimizing Salesforce and integrated systems (e.g., Traction Rec) to ensure effective program delivery, reporting, and compliance. The role manages system configuration, maintains user access and role-based security in alignment with privacy and governance standards. The Salesforce administrator provides day-to-day operational support including troubleshooting issues, resolving data errors, and responding to staff requests.

Major Responsibilities**-** in this position, you will**:**

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Salesforce environments, including objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, flows, and templates
  • Maintain and support integrated systems such as Traction Rec, ensuring reliable performance and data consistency
  • Manage user access, profiles, roles, and permissions in alignment with privacy, security, and data governance standards
  • Configure and maintain workflows, automations, and notifications to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Troubleshoot issues, resolve data errors, and respond to user support requests
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Perform data loading, migration, deduplication, and cleanup using approved tools and processes
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for leadership and program teams
  • Support ad hoc reporting and data analysis across multiple program areas
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into system solutions
  • Support system projects including integrations, environment separation, and implementation of new tools or enhancements
  • Assist with testing, deployment, and change management for system updates
  • Train and guide staff to improve system adoption and effective usage
  • Document system configurations, processes, and user guidelines to support knowledge sharing and continuity

Qualification**-you bring:**

  • Post-secondary education in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience administering Salesforce in a multi-user, production environment
  • Proven experience with Salesforce configuration, permissions management, reporting, and data management, including building and troubleshooting Flows and Experience Cloud pages
  • Experience developing and maintaining Apex code, including classes, scheduled jobs, and frameworks to support complex business logic
  • Demonstrated ability to support business users and translate operational requirements into effective system solutions
  • Experience working with integrated platforms (e.g., Traction Rec) and within nonprofit or regulated environments is considered an asset
  • Salesforce Administrator certification, or progress toward certification, is considered an asset
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
