Job Summary Express Scripts Canada is looking for a Linux and Middleware Administrator to be part of the Infrastructure Engineering team. The primary objective of the Incumbent will be to work as a member of the Technology Services Teams working closely with Business stakeholders, Project Managers, IS Management to understand processes and business requirements and translate them into Environment technology solutions. Key Responsibilities: Perform the Linux and Middleware system lifecycle management, including system upgrade, capacity planning and disaster recovery test on legacy RedHat Linux and OpenShift environments. Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL) in physical and virtual environment (VMware) Implement and maintain Linux system security, including OS patching, hardening, and vulnerabilities remediation by following the standard procedures Automate routine administrative tasks using Ansible or Python scripting for Linux system deployment, administration and support Monitor Linux system performance and troubleshooting issues across infrastructure systems and applications Collaborate with solution development and application teams to ensure comprehensive test plans are developed and testing scripts are maintained from business specifications and ensure that defects and fixes across prioritized systems are documented, tracked and closed in conjunction with business priorities Maintain documentation for system deployment, builds, procedure and configuration Manage and support VEEAM backup system for Linux servers and Oracle databases Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical systems What We’re Looking For Post-secondary degree in computer science, information technology, or computer engineering. 3+ years of hands-on experience in RedHat Linux system administrator 2+ years of working experience as a VMware system administrator 1+ years of hands-on experience with RedHat OpenShift cluster administration 1+ year of VEEAM experience Strong experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL v8 and v9), or other enterprise Linux distributions.
