About The Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our digital team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and expanding our web-based digital experiences. Your work will directly impact how Canadians access and engage with CBC/Radio-Canada’s content across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable, user-centric applications and a keen interest in emerging technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver innovative solutions that align with our strategic objectives. Qualifications
A strong communicator with the ability to listen actively and demonstrate empathy for diverse perspectives A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Proficiency in JavaScript and React, with familiarity with TypeScript Experience in developing and integrating API endpoints and third-party vendor products Knowledge of software development best practices, including testing, version control, and deployment workflows Hands-on experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar CI/CD platforms Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and respond effectively to changing project requirements Experience working within Agile methodologies and iterative development cycles A passion for continuous learning and professional growth
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and digital experiences Build and optimize API integrations with third-party services and internal systems Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and solutions Implement best practices for software development, including automated testing and continuous integration Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user guides Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
