About the job

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to become an integral part of our team at our Mississauga location. If you want to work in a dynamic team environment and you excel when being trusted with responsibility, then Rexel is the place for you

In addition, your duties will also include:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for large, complex initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.

  • Serve as the primary project manager for a major SW implementation, coordinating activities across business, IT, vendor, and leadership stakeholders.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity while maintaining strong prioritization, structure, and delivery focus.

  • Develop project plans, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and resource requirements to support successful execution.

  • Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking to ensure financial accountability and alignment with approved funding.

  • Create and present executive reporting for the portfolio of projects

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between internal teams, vendors, and external partners to drive project progress and resolve issues.

  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels, providing regular status updates, risk alerts, and escalation recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure project governance, documentation, and reporting are maintained accurately and consistently.

  • Support business change management and adoption activities by coordinating readiness, training, and transition planning as needed.

  • Monitor deliverables and vendor performance to ensure commitments are met and quality standards are maintained.

  • Lead project meetings, workshops, and decision-making sessions to align stakeholders and maintain momentum.

  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to remove barriers, manage competing priorities, and keep projects moving forward.

  • Partner with leadership to define project objectives, success measures, and execution strategies.

  • Drive projects to completion with a focus on operational excellence, customer service, and business value delivery.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience, including managing large and complex projects end to end.

  • Certified Project Manager, such as PMP certification, required.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.

  • Experience with Agile, waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies and project management tools.

  • Strong skills in managing project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and deliverables.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with ERP, finance, or business transformation projects considered an asset.

Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD $80,000 to $115,000. Compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
