About Voltera Voltera is a rapidly scaling and profitable Canadian tech company that has been driving change in the additive electronics industry since 2013. Our customers span 92 countries and use our products to improve quality of life and push the boundaries of what electronics can do. From developing electronics skin to exploring space, our products support some of the world’s most exciting engineering endeavors.

Our first product, the V-One PCB printer, integrates drilling through-holes, printing conductive materials, dispensing solder paste, and reflowing circuits to enable fast iteration of circuit board designs. Our second product, the NOVA materials dispensing system, offers precision dispensing of functional materials on both flexible and rigid substrates for flexible hybrid electronics prototyping and materials research.

About the Job Build and maintain internal tools that streamline operational workflows across teams. Explore opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, AI tools, and emerging technologies. Develop scripts, services, or lightweight applications that automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual work. Create and maintain integrations between internal systems (CRM, ERP, support tools, finance systems, etc.). Support data synchronization and process automation across multiple software platforms. Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements. Troubleshoot and improve existing internal tools and workflows. Document tools, integrations, and processes to support long-term maintainability. Set up and configure laptops and equipment for new employees. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and access issues across internal systems.

Working conditions Working from the office in Waterloo at least three days per week.

About You Passion for creating user-friendly tools and interfaces Previous experience in software development, scripting, and automation. Experience developing with TypeScript/Javascript, Node.js and Python. Experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL API’s Comfort working with multiple datasets, automation scripts, and integrations between business systems. Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about how systems and processes work. Ability to collaborate with non-technical teams and translate operational challenges into technical solutions.

Nice to haves Experience with React or Vue. Experience with Firebase. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.

Compensation The expected base salary range for this role is CAD $55,000–$75,000. Final compensation will be based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. This range reflects base pay only and does not include bonus eligibility or benefits.
