The Position: As part of F12, the Senior IT Technician will deliver technology solutions to small and mid-sized business clients with a strong focus on client care, timelines, and service delivery expectations. This role is responsible for supporting complex client infrastructure environments, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with the planning, configuration, deployment, and documentation of IT solutions across desktops, servers, networks, cloud services, Azure, Microsoft 365, servers, and storage. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver effective, well-documented, and scalable IT solutions. Responsibilities: Deliver technical solutions to small and mid-sized business clients while maintaining a strong focus on client care, timelines, and KPI deliverables. Liaise with business leaders, users, co-workers, and client teams to provide technical support for complex infrastructure-related issues. Support the Account and Project Management teams in proposing and developing the right solution for each client. Investigate, troubleshoot, problem-solve, and resolve technical infrastructure issues, including third-level support, root cause analysis, testing, and documentation. Plan, set up, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, servers, networks, cloud services such as Azure and Microsoft 365, as well as server and storage environments. Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of F12 IT services and offerings. Develop and update technical documentation, including system configurations, application integrations, and related technical records. Follow change management procedures when deploying changes across varying client environments. Provide remote or on-site client support to specified clients. Assist with the planning and implementation of small to complex projects. Maintain client commitments related to service delivery requirements. Formulate and define objectives and scope based on a clear understanding of each client’s business requirements and needs. Assist in the development and delivery of automated managed service products. Contribute to transition activities from the Project team to the Operations team. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: 4+ years of experience in an IT consulting or senior technical support role is preferred. Post-secondary education in a computer-related discipline is preferred. Microsoft certifications and related industry technical certifications, such as AWS, are considered assets. Advanced knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365. Experience with virtualization technologies, including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory. Advanced knowledge of networking and routing technologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, co-workers, and leadership. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical colleagues, leaders, and client teams to deliver integrated solutions. Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to assess client needs, define objectives, and scope solutions. Ability to adapt quickly to changing client demands, priorities, and technologies. Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills, with the ability to create high-quality technical documentation. Client-centric service orientation with the ability to balance quality, timeliness, and efficiency. Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in stressful circumstances. Strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Working Conditions: This position will be based in Victoria, BC will mainly support the greater area and surrounding communities. This role can be physically demanding at times and may require carrying, setting up, and servicing hardware weighing up to 50 pounds in a variety of environments. The successful candidate will require their own vehicle with insurance appropriate for business use. The successful candidate must comply with the safety standards of F12 and all of its clients.
