As a Director, Government & Public Sector Operations Consulting, you will play a senior leadership role focused on growing and delivering PwC's Operations & Procurement practice within the Ontario public sector market. You will serve as a trusted advisor to public sector leaders at all levels, lead complex transformation programs, expand executive relationships across Ontario government and broader public sector organizations, and help grow PwC's market presence across ministries, agencies, crown corporations, municipalities, healthcare organizations, and other public sector institutions. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Lead and oversee large, complex transformation programs across Ontario government ministries, agencies, crown corporations, municipalities, healthcare organizations, and broader public sector institutions, integrating strategy, operating model design, service modernization, technology enablement, and implementation. Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships across the Ontario public sector, helping clients navigate complex transformation initiatives while identifying opportunities to strengthen client partnerships and drive strategic growth. Lead complex, business-led transformation initiatives across service-based and asset-intensive environments, helping clients improve service outcomes, operational performance, productivity, and organizational effectiveness through diagnostics, business architecture, operating model design, service and process modernization, network and asset optimization, value creation, and technology-enabled transformation. Demonstrate agility and resilience in managing dynamic projects by adapting swiftly to changing client needs, shifting priorities, and emerging challenges, guaranteeing successful delivery. Lead multidisciplinary teams across PwC and client organizations, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong team performance, and successful execution of complex transformation initiatives. Manage engagement financials, risks, quality, project teams, and resource allocation to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations. Lead business development activities, including identifying emerging client needs, account planning, opportunity shaping, complex solutioning, proposal development, strategic pursuits, and market engagement to drive growth across the Ontario public sector market. Collaborate across PwC's national and global network, bringing together diverse capabilities, perspectives, and leading practices to solve complex client challenges. Champion innovative Operations and Procurement offerings, leveraging AI, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies to reinvent how public sector organizations design, deliver, and optimize services, operations, and business capabilities. What You'll Bring: Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for: 10-15 years of progressive experience in management consulting, public sector transformation, operations consulting, or related leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading large and complex transformation initiatives. Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree, MBA, MPA, or equivalent graduate qualification is considered an asset. Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, CBAP, CMC, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, financial, analytics, architecture, AI, cloud, or other transformation-related certifications are considered an asset. Recognized expertise in delivering complex transformation programs across service-based and asset-intensive public sector organizations, including modernization of operations, performance and productivity improvement, network and asset optimization, and realization of sustainable value through strategy, operating model transformation, technology-enabled innovation, Lean process improvement, operational excellence, digital operations, AI, automation, advanced analytics, business casing, and related disciplines. Deep understanding of the Ontario public sector ecosystem, including ministries, agencies, crown corporations, municipalities, healthcare organizations, and broader public sector institutions. Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor, and understanding client strategic priorities, operational challenges, and transformation objectives. Established market presence and professional network within the Ontario public sector, with the ability to develop relationships, originate opportunities, shape demand, grow strategic accounts, and lead business development activities including opportunity identification, account planning, complex solutioning, proposal development, pursuits, and tailored solutions for complex client challenges. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale engagements involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and significant organizational complexity. Experience contributing to thought leadership and championing innovative service offerings that leverage AI, emerging technologies, and leading practices to create client value and address evolving public sector priorities.
