We’re looking for a Mobile-Focused Full Stack Developer to join BarCoded FitTech. Important upfront: this is an equity-only role initially. Salary is planned after funding milestones are reached. If you need paid compensation immediately, this will not be the right fit — and that is completely understandable.

BarCoded FitTech is building a smartwatch-first performance analytics platform for elite strength and conditioning coaches. We turn raw training data from mobile and wearable devices into real-time, actionable insights for coaches, athletes, and teams.

We already have a full stack developer on the team and are now looking for a second developer with a stronger focus on the mobile and wearable experience across: iPhone / iPad Android Apple Watch / watchOS WearOS React Native mobile front-end development Mobile-to-watch workflows API integrations with backend services

This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in Canada. Most of the current team is in Ontario, so some overlap with Eastern Time is preferred.

This could be a good fit for someone who: Has strong React Native experience Has built or shipped iOS and/or Android apps Is comfortable working with APIs and full stack contributors Cares about mobile UX, product quality, and usability Can work independently with minimal hand-holding Is interested in early-stage startup ownership Understands the risk/reward profile of an equity-first startup role

Experience with Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Apple Watch, WearOS, Expo, fitness tech, sports tech, sensors, or wearable data would be a strong plus.

This is not a traditional salaried job at this stage. It is not an internship or a short-term contract. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute consistently, take ownership, and potentially grow with the company over the long term.
