Technical Lead - AWS / Cloud Integration
About the role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead - AWS / Cloud Integration contractor to support a major cloud modernization and integration initiative within a leading financial services environment. This role is an initial 4 month contract, with possibility of renewal. The role requires a strong developer who can lead technical delivery, provide architectural guidance, and operate independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive cloud-native development, API integration, and data processing solutions using AWS technologies.
Key Responsibilities Lead the technical design and delivery of cloud-native solutions using AWS services. Provide hands-on development leadership across API, ETL, and integration initiatives. Guide development teams on best practices, coding standards, and solution design. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and external partners to deliver scalable solutions. Support integration and data processing workflows using AWS technologies such as AWS Glue. Navigate ambiguous requirements and drive technical decisions with minimal oversight. Identify opportunities for process improvement and modernization. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience with AWS cloud technologies, including AWS Glue. Hands-on experience with cloud-native application development. Strong background in API development, ETL processes, and system integrations. Proven experience leading technical delivery initiatives. Strong software development expertise and ability to quickly learn new business and technical domains. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and engage effectively with external stakeholders. Preferred Experience Financial services or banking experience. Experience working in large enterprise transformation programs. Exposure to modern integration and data platform architectures, .NET experience is a huge asset isgSearch does not use artificial intelligence throughout the hiring process.
