TITLE: Engineering Manager (.NET) INDUSTRY: Enterprise Software / SaaS LOCATION: Fully Remote (Canada) SALARY: Up to $190,000 CAD + Bonus + RRSP Matching + Comprehensive Benefits

About You: You're a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Manager who enjoys remaining highly hands-on while leading a team. You bring 5-7+ years of experience building modern applications with C#, .NET, and .NET Core, with a strong backend focus and experience working with Angular and TypeScript. You're passionate about designing scalable software, driving architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and embracing AI-assisted development to build better software.

Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of approximately eight Software Engineers while remaining highly hands-on, spending roughly 75% of your time coding, designing solutions, and performing code reviews. Drive architecture decisions, code quality initiatives, and a platform modernization program with a strong focus on AWS and Azure cloud technologies. Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C#, .NET Core, Angular, and TypeScript. Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Executive Leadership to define technical strategy and deliver high-quality software. Champion engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, code quality, and modern software architecture. Advocate for and drive the adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor while helping establish engineering best practices around AI. Support the continued development and mentorship of your team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.

Qualifications: 5-7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and .NET Core. Strong backend development experience with .NET Core is required. Experience with Angular and TypeScript; this role is approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend. Proven experience designing software architecture and leading technical decisions. Experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure cloud technologies. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor, with the ability to champion AI adoption and best practices. Previous experience leading, mentoring, or coaching software engineers while remaining technically hands-on. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
