About the Job Reporting to the Director, Product Analytics, this position will be focused on global product analytics across multiple teams. This is a manager-level individual contributor role with leadership through influence, strategic ownership, and cross-functional partnership rather than formal people management. In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and executive stakeholders to define metrics, shape product strategy, improve data flows, and deliver actionable insights that influence high-impact decisions. You will work across a wide range of product initiatives, translating complex datasets into clear recommendations, scalable reporting, and executive-ready narratives. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on analytical depth with strategic thinking. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, and owning analytics workstreams from problem framing through recommendation. This person should be equally effective writing SQL, defining KPIs, improving data foundations, and telling a compelling story with data to guide product direction. Responsibilities Lead high-impact product analytics initiatives across multiple product teams, turning complex data into clear recommendations that influence strategy and execution Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance leaders to shape priorities, guide roadmap decisions, and align success metrics to business goals Own the definition and evolution of product KPIs, reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytical models that support planning and performance management Strengthen product data foundations by improving data flows, metric definitions, and analytics governance to increase trust, consistency, and usability Evaluate product features, experiments, and strategic initiatives through rigorous analysis, and recommend actions based on performance, opportunity, and business impact Deliver polished, executive-ready analyses, presentations, and narratives for audiences ranging from product managers to senior leadership Elevate analytical excellence across the team by mentoring junior analysts and improving processes, tools, and best practices Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in analytics, product analytics, strategy, or a related quantitative field Strong hands-on SQL skills and experience working with large-scale relational datasets Experience owning product metrics, KPI frameworks, and recurring reporting for product or business stakeholders Experience partnering directly with product teams to support roadmap decisions, feature evaluation, prioritization, and strategy Demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations and concise executive-level communication Strong experience with product data flows, data quality, metric definitions, and analytics governance Experience building dashboards and visualizations using modern BI or analytics platforms Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving work forward with a high degree of ownership and judgment Preferred Qualifications Experience in product analytics within a two-sided marketplace, B2B2C, hospitality, travel, or technology business Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse technologies Experience with experimentation, product performance measurement, and causal or quasi-causal analysis Experience building financial models, forecasts, or scenario analyses that support product investment decisions Familiarity with data pipeline design, ETL concepts, and upstream/downstream data dependencies Understanding of how product metrics connect to company goals, revenue outcomes, and operational performance Benefits and Perks Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year Focus on mental health and well-being: Company-paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth Company-paid subscription to Headspace Annual company-wide week off a year - the whole team fully recharges (and returns without a pile-up of work!) That’s why OpenTable has adopted a hybrid workplace model. This role aligns with that approach, with an expectation of coming into the office two days a week—giving employees the best of both worlds: in-person collaboration and flexibility. The expected range of compensation for this position based in Toronto, Canada, including commission and/or bonuses, is $110,000–$124,200 CAD. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a compensation range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. We offer a competitive base salary and benefits including: health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave benefits.
