Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and support applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET, and associated Microsoft technologies. • Analyze and remediate defects in end-user computing tools built using Excel VBA, Word VBA, macros, forms, and related desktop automation components. • Assess business-critical EUC assets for maintainability, risk, supportability, and transformation opportunities. • Convert or refactor legacy / unsupported user-developed tools into governed, supportable, and auditable solutions. • Work with business users to understand functional usage patterns, defects, control gaps, and enhancement priorities. • Implement fixes, improve resilience, and document technical / user support procedures for EUC tools. • Build or enhance interfaces between desktop tools and enterprise systems, databases, shared files, or web services as required. • Support testing, release planning, user validation, and transition to steady-state support models. • Follow coding standards, versioning, backup, and governance practices to reduce operational risk associated with EUC solutions. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. • Strong experience in VB.NET and ASP.NET application development. • Foundational / working knowledge of VBA for Excel and Word, including macros, forms, automation, and troubleshooting. • Ability to diagnose and fix bugs in end-user computing tools and desktop automations. • Experience in transforming unsupported or business-owned tools into stable, supportable solutions. • Good understanding of SQL, data access, file-based processes, and user-facing solution support. • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business users and operational teams. Preferred Skills • Exposure to risk and control considerations for EUC tools in regulated environments. • Familiarity with SharePoint, Office add-ins, Power Platform, or other alternatives for replacing legacy desktop tools. • Experience with documentation, inventory rationalization, and governance of business-owned applications. • Knowledge of release management, support transitions, and application lifecycle best practices. Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
