• We enable product engineering teams to build and operate software with unmatched speed and quality. • The Analytics Platform team builds capabilities to accelerate data-driven analytics, improve productivity and accuracy at Faire. Its mandate is to reduce time from data to insights
• Data warehousing, including cost-efficient storage and compute
• ETL (extract, transform, load) and ELT (extract, load, transform) pipelines
• Evolution of foundational datasets with company-wide utilization
• BI (business intelligence) tooling and integrations
• Productivity acceleration tooling for analytics use-cases, including AI/LLM powered tools
• Automation of analytics functions
• Monitoring, alerting, and cost tracking for workloads
• Data security, privacy, and governance
• The team also owns relationships with select infrastructure vendors
• Plan and execute on technology projects that scale with our growth; contribute to our technology foundations with a focus on data integrity, security, performance, scale, reliability, operational excellence
• Engage with team planning and prioritization, balancing urgent and near-term needs with long-term goals
• Provide technical expertise on difficult open-ended problems
• Select technologies we use and teach: AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Spark, Python, Kotlin

• Understanding of data warehousing basics, especially Snowflake, is highly valuable
• Strong communication skills
• Experience developing and operating ETL/ELT, storage, compute, workflow systems
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Exposure to building and operating reliable, scalable data pipelines, orchestration of data movement, querying, transformation, and frameworks for analytics engineering workflows
• Experience diagnosing, mitigating, and addressing data system production issues at scale
• Understanding of performance, capacity, cost trade-offs in data processing systems
