Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (GCP | Terraform | DevOps) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join a high-performing Cloud Engineering team responsible for designing, building, and evolving enterprise-scale cloud platforms. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, platform engineering, and software development. You'll work on large-scale cloud modernization initiatives, developing secure, scalable, and automated platform services that enable application teams to build and deploy solutions efficiently. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain cloud platform services and reusable infrastructure components. Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform (HCL). Develop automation and platform tooling using Go, Python, and Linux scripting. Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines. Implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions. Collaborate with architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver cloud platform capabilities. Support application onboarding and cloud adoption initiatives. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Continuously improve platform reliability, security, performance, and operational excellence. Contribute to infrastructure automation and cloud engineering best practices. Must-Have Qualifications 6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering. 6+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure, including at least 1–2 years of GCP experience. 6+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform (HCL) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Strong programming and scripting experience using Python and Linux. Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering principles. Experience designing highly available, secure, and scalable cloud solutions.
