Job Summary This L&D Designer/Developer role supports day-to-day operations and new project delivery within a collaborative, 5-member team in the financial services sector. The successful candidate will be engaged in building, coding, and delivery work — including working on cases and designs, building cases using the client's selected platform, and serving in a client-facing capacity by walking stakeholders through how processes are automated. Approximately 25% of time will be spent in meetings, with all interactions being internal. The contractor will have access to customer data. Key Responsibilities Build, code, and deliver solutions using the client's selected platform Work on cases from design through to delivery Support new project intake and day-to-day operational requests Serve in a client-facing capacity, walking stakeholders through automated processes Collaborate within a team focused on business analysis, process improvement, and data and analytics Support Power Platform low-code automation (Power Apps / Power Automate) Contribute to dashboarding and reporting using Power BI and related tools Apply continuous and process improvement methodologies to ongoing work Manage deliverables and meet deadlines while maintaining quality of work
Required Skills Proficiency in Power Apps and Power BI Proficiency in SQL Proficiency in Python Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Continuous improvement / process improvement mindset Ability to operate in low-code environments Hybrid business and technical mindset Attention to detail
Preferred Skills Self-driven — ability to take initiative and work independently Dashboarding and reporting experience Financial services experience Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps / Power Automate) Experience with VBA, Alteryx, or Tableau Experience with SAS or ETO Interest in FinTech Data analysis background
Education Requirements Post-secondary education in computer science, finance, or a related field Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) — 4-year degree preferred
Required Experience 2–4 years of overall experience; open to junior candidates with strong computer science or technology area experience Experience in a tech background with data analysis exposure Experience working with SQL and Azure Experience with finance training or financial services environments is an asset
Nice-to-Have Experience Experience with Power BI, VBA, Python, or Alteryx Experience with Tableau, SAS, or ETO (dashboarding and reporting tools) Background in FinTech or financial services
