Northpoint Commercial Finance offers businesses across North America personal, flexible financing options such as inventory finance, equipment finance and asset-based lending to support their business growth needs.

This position will be focused on Equipment Finance and Lease Financing with Northpoint Commercial Finance in Canada.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain customizations, extensions, workflows, and business configurations for the Odessa Platform, with primary development performed through Odessa Build and related platform configuration tools. Develop and maintain C#/.NET components, integrations, APIs, data processes, and supporting services that extend Odessa capabilities and connect the platform with surrounding enterprise systems. Support Equipment Finance and Lease Financing business processes by translating operational requirements into reliable, scalable platform solutions. Diagnose and resolve production issues, support platform enhancements, and contribute to stable day-to-day operations across development, testing, and production environments. Develop and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, data integrations, reporting extracts, and related data assets that support Odessa and downstream reporting needs. Build AI-enabled business solutions, workflow automation, and productivity tools using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio. Maintain technical documentation, configuration notes, release records, and solution designs that support knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability. Contribute to practical engineering standards for version control, code review, testing, deployment, and environment promotion. Work closely with business stakeholders, IT, vendors, and project teams to deliver secure, supportable, and upgrade-aware technology solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5–7+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in C# and the .NET framework. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, including LINQ, async/await, reusable components, clean code practices, and safe refactoring. Experience building, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs and system integrations. Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, relational data modelling, and query performance tuning. Experience supporting enterprise business applications across development, test, and production environments. Strong hands-on Git experience, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, conflict resolution, and repository hygiene. Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and release management, including automated build, test, deployment, environment promotion, and rollback planning. Ability to document technical designs, configurations, support procedures, and release changes clearly and consistently. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Self-directed, outcome-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Odessa Build, Odessa Platform configuration, or comparable enterprise workflow, servicing, leasing, lending, or finance platforms. Experience in equipment finance, lease financing, inventory finance, commercial lending, or another regulated financial services environment. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI, and/or Copilot Studio. Experience building automation, analytics, or AI-enabled business solutions in an operational environment. Experience participating in or supporting AI/ML projects, including solution design, data preparation, model integration, testing, deployment, or operational adoption. Working knowledge of responsible AI and AI governance concepts, including human-in-the-loop review, data grounding, content safety, and prompt-injection mitigation. Working familiarity with reporting and data tools such as SSRS, Power BI, and/or Databricks. Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services related to application hosting, identity, security, integration, and data movement. Exposure to Azure AI Foundry, n8n, or other workflow automation and AI orchestration tools is considered an asset.
