Through innovative tools, the organization delivers transparency and standardization, enabling fund managers, companies, and governments to assess both positive and negative carbon impacts. Oxia Initiative’s SaaS platform, Carboscope, serves investment funds, ESG consultants, and SMEs by reducing the cost of carbon assessment and providing actionable reports. The platform supports carbon measurement across all stages of the investment cycle, promoting collaboration and synergies for green financing and impact investing. Team members contribute directly to meaningful climate action and evidence-based sustainable finance. Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Spécialiste Données Environnement / Data Environmental Specialist. The specialist will work closely with internal teams and clients to collect, validate, and manage environmental and carbon-related data from diverse sources. Daily activities include performing data analysis and modeling, building and maintaining datasets for the Carboscope platform, and transforming raw data into clear, decision-ready insights and dashboards. The role involves supporting the development and refinement of carbon impact methodologies, documenting assumptions and data flows, and contributing to the quality assurance of environmental metrics. The specialist will also collaborate with product, ESG, and client-facing teams to respond to data inquiries, support client projects, and help improve the platform’s data features over time. Qualifications Strong foundation in data handling, including Data Management and Data Modeling skills. Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis to translate environmental data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. Demonstrated Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and ensure data quality and consistency. Experience or strong interest in environmental data, carbon accounting, ESG, or sustainable finance. Comfort working with spreadsheets, databases, and analytics or BI tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, or similar tools are an asset). Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline). Bilingual French and English Clear written and verbal communication skills in a professional context; ability to document methods and explain results to non-specialists. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across multicultural, cross-functional teams.
