Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of Operational Technology (OT) architecture across industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in OT architecture, industrial systems, and infrastructure design, with the ability to develop architecture standards, drive governance, and ensure alignment between enterprise IT and operational technology.
Key Responsibilities OT Architecture & Strategy
• Review, enhance, and maintain OT Technology Architecture documentation. • Develop and maintain: • Design Patterns. • Reference Architectures. • Decision Trees. • Technology Standards. • Identify architecture gaps and develop new frameworks and architecture artifacts. • Drive continuous improvement in OT architecture maturity and standardization.
Solution Design & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. • Translate business and operational requirements into technical architecture specifications. • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and industry best practices. • Develop architecture roadmaps and strategic technology recommendations.
Architecture Governance
• Review and validate proposed changes to architecture documentation. • Validate architecture artifacts for leadership approval. • Perform architecture governance and compliance reviews for OT project designs. • Ensure project solutions comply with approved architecture standards. • Provide architectural guidance to Solution Architects, engineers, and project teams.
Documentation & Technical Leadership
• Develop supporting documentation, including: • Requirements analysis. • System architecture diagrams. • Technical specifications. • Cost estimates. • Executive presentations. • Technology roadmaps. • Act as the Operational Technology (OT) Subject Matter Expert (SME). • Educate teams on OT architecture standards and best practices. • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and OT best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) architecture, industrial systems, and infrastructure design. • Strong expertise in: • OT Architecture Frameworks. • Design Patterns. • Reference Architectures. • Decision Trees. • Technology Standards. • Hands-on experience with OT platforms and vendor ecosystems, including: • AVEVA. • Rockwell Automation. • Emerson. • Deep understanding of: • Industrial Control Systems (ICS). • SCADA Systems. • Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). • Experience designing and optimizing OT solutions aligned with enterprise IT and operational requirements. • Strong knowledge of architecture governance, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices. • Proven ability to translate business requirements into architecture artifacts and solution blueprints. • Experience creating architecture diagrams, technical specifications, roadmaps, and solution documentation. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
