Software Engineer - 12 month TFT Role

Development and Release Engineering (DRE) is the automation oil for the EA game production engine, integrating technical components and dependencies from partner teams to produce playable builds. We partner with Quality Verification, IT, Security, Cloud providers, Engine providers and other teams to simplify CI for game creators

Development Release Engineering - Software Engineer II - Sims

DRE are EA's global build automation specialists. We work with internal EA teams by providing services related to Build Automation, Continuous Integration, Metrics Reporting, and Virtual Infrastructure.

You would join DRE supporting The Sims franchise as a Software Engineer II. The position is hybrid remote/in-office and you will report to the DRE Technical Director.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work with our internal customers to design, and implement new automated workflows
  • You will monitor our solutions to ensure they are running as expected, and debug and fix any issues found promptly, while communicating with our partners.
  • You will identify gaps/toil within our workflows and implement automated scalable, reliable and repeatable solutions

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Object-oriented/scripting languages (e.g. Python, Groovy, C#, Java, or Ruby)
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Source control management tools (e.g. Perforce, Git)
  • Configuration management tools (e.g. Chef, Ansible, Terraform, or Packer)
  • Cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Secrets management tools (e.g Vault, AKeyless)
  • Artifact repositories (e.g. Artifactory, NPM, NuGet)
  • Virtualization environments and tools (e.g. VMs, vSphere)
  • Data and Observability tools (e.g. Splunk, Grafana, Open Telemetry)
  • Commercial Game Engine (e.g. Unity, Unreal)
  • Agile familiarity
  • Collaboration skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD
