Job Title: Salesforce DevOps (Copado) Engineer Location: Remote Duration: long term contract Rate: CAD80-CAD90/hr Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Salesforce DevOps (Copado) Engineer with 5+ years of experience to manage and optimize end-to-end Salesforce code deployments across all environments, from Development through Production. The ideal candidate will have expert-level, hands-on experience with Copado deployments, Salesforce release management, CI/CD pipelines, and environment automation. This role requires close collaboration with Development, QA, and Support teams to ensure timely, secure, and reliable releases while maintaining environment consistency across the Salesforce delivery lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end Salesforce code deployments across Development, SIT, UAT, Staging, and Production environments. Configure, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Copado. Manage Salesforce releases, including deployment planning, release readiness, validation, backup planning, and back-out testing. Resolve code deployment issues, merge conflicts, pipeline failures, and environment synchronization challenges. Ensure seamless integration and synchronization between Azure DevOps and Copado. Use Salesforce CLI, Git, Azure DevOps Boards, and related tools to support the release and deployment lifecycle. Coordinate with Development and QA teams to ensure timely and successful delivery across multiple Salesforce environments. Lead production support calls and manage deployment-related incidents with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making capabilities. Raise, track, and manage Salesforce and Copado support tickets through resolution. Perform Salesforce sandbox refreshes and associated post-refresh configuration activities. Manage back-promotion activities to keep Salesforce environments and source-control branches synchronized. Maintain Copado pipelines, snapshots, automation jobs, and environment configurations. Monitor deployment activity and proactively identify release risks, dependencies, and potential production issues. Drive continuous improvements in Salesforce DevOps processes, deployment quality, automation, governance, and release efficiency. Ensure adherence to organizational standards related to quality, risk management, security, and compliance. Maintain release documentation, deployment procedures, support records, and audit-ready evidence throughout the delivery lifecycle. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce DevOps, release management, deployment engineering, or a related role. Strong hands-on experience with Copado, including: CI/CD pipeline configuration User stories and promotion workflows Branching and merging Back-promotion Pipeline and snapshot maintenance Environment management Deployment automation Strong knowledge of Salesforce deployment processes across lower and higher environments. Experience managing releases across Development, SIT, UAT, Staging, and Production environments. Hands-on experience with Salesforce CLI, Git, and Azure DevOps Boards. Experience integrating and synchronizing Azure DevOps with Copado. Strong understanding of Git branching, version control, code merging, and conflict resolution. Experience performing Salesforce sandbox refreshes and environment maintenance activities. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot deployment failures, pipeline issues, synchronization problems, and merge conflicts. Experience managing Salesforce and Copado support tickets. Strong understanding of release readiness, backup planning, rollback procedures, and back-out testing. Experience supporting production deployments and leading deployment-related incident calls. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with Development, QA, Support, and business teams. Preferred Qualifications Copado certifications or relevant Salesforce certifications. Experience working in complex enterprise Salesforce environments with multiple development and release streams. Knowledge of Salesforce metadata, deployment dependencies, and environment governance. Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and release-management best practices. Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong quality, risk, audit, and compliance requirements. Exposure to additional Salesforce DevOps and test-automation tools.

Requirements
Requires at least five years of Salesforce DevOps, release management, or deployment engineering experience, with hands-on expertise in Copado, Salesforce CLI, Git, and Azure DevOps. Candidates should have experience managing multi-environment releases, sandbox refreshes, deployment incidents, rollback planning, and cross-functional collaboration; relevant certifications are preferred.
