Role: Software Developer Location: Toronto, ON(Hybrid) Type: Contract Rate: CAD65/hr - CAD70/hr We are seeking a Senior Developer with strong Java and/or Python skills to support Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations using PingFederate for Employee and Customer platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting authentication handshakes, token validation, and Identity Provider (IdP) integrations, along with strong communication skills to collaborate directly with vendors, third parties, and QE teams during platform upgrades and production support activities. Key Responsibilities Support Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation and troubleshooting for the Employee PingFederate platform. Perform log analysis and identify authentication handshake failures. Conduct token inspection and validation, including troubleshooting token issuance and expiration issues. Debug endpoints communicating with Identity Providers (IdPs) to resolve authentication-related problems. Implement configuration fixes and coordinate troubleshooting efforts with vendors. Collaborate with third-party teams to resolve integration and authentication issues. Gather technical specifications for Intake submissions and track Intake requests through completion. Support Employee and Customer PingFederate Enterprise Platform upgrade initiatives. Resolve technical issues identified during platform upgrade testing. Coordinate testing activities with the Quality Engineering (QE) team to validate fixes and upgrades. Provide production support and timely resolution of authentication-related incidents. Required Skills 7+ years of software development experience in Java and/or Python. Hands-on experience with PingFederate or similar SSO/Identity Provider platforms. Strong understanding of authentication protocols, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect. Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting authentication handshake failures. Experience with token inspection, validation, and debugging. Ability to troubleshoot API and endpoint communication with Identity Providers. Experience gathering technical specifications and managing Intake processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and third-party teams. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional and QE teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting PingFederate Enterprise Platform upgrades (Employee and/or Customer-facing). Experience coordinating vendor troubleshooting sessions for identity and authentication issues. Familiarity with enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools. Banking or financial services industry experience. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
