Job Title: Verisk QA Analyst / Automation QA Engineer – Insurance Platforms Location: Toronto, ON, Canada Experience: 8–12 Years Domain: Insurance / Annuity Key Skills: QA Automation, API Testing, Postman, SQL, UI Automation Playwright: Optional / Preferred Job Summary We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst / Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, SQL/data validation, and end-to-end integration testing. Experience with Verisk FAST / FAST Policy Administration and Hexure FireLight / Foresight platforms is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain automation frameworks, validate complex insurance workflows, and ensure application quality across APIs, user interfaces, databases, and integrated systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks. Perform API automation using Postman, PyTest, Requests, or similar tools. Execute UI automation using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (optional). Write advanced SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and backend testing. Perform source-to-target data reconciliation and validate file-based integrations. Test end-to-end workflows across APIs, databases, and integrated insurance applications. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub. Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development and business teams. Validate insurance policy administration and annuity-related business workflows. Required Skills 8–12 years of experience in QA, QE, software testing, or automation engineering. Strong experience developing automation frameworks. Hands-on API testing and automation using Postman or equivalent tools. Advanced SQL and backend data validation skills. Experience with data reconciliation, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines. UI automation experience using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Verisk FAST / FAST Policy Administration. Experience with Hexure FireLight / Foresight platforms. Insurance, life insurance, or annuity domain knowledge. Playwright automation experience (optional). Experience testing file-based integrations, APIs, and data lake solutions. Knowledge of complex enterprise integrations and end-to-end testing.
