At Voldex, we’re looking for a Software Engineer to help build the next chapter of the game — from new features and gameplay systems to technical improvements that keep the experience polished, scalable, and fun. ✨ You’ll collaborate closely with designers, artists, and producers, write clean and maintainable Roblox Lua code, and ship updates that reach a massive global player base. What You’ll Do Build and launch features that delight millions of players daily Own and deliver gameplay features end-to-end, from implementation through release and iteration Break down product requirements into technical tasks and provide reliable estimates Write clean, performant, and maintainable Roblox Lua code aligned with team standards Design and implement systems with consideration for scalability, performance, and maintainability Partner with designers, artists, and producers to build high-quality gameplay experiences Monitor live features, analyze performance, and address issues proactively Identify and improve codebase quality, development workflows, and system reliability Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to team engineering practices Playtest features and proactively improve player experience (UX, responsiveness, polish) Who You Are 1–3+ years of Roblox or relevant game development experience Strong foundation in CS fundamentals and problem-solving Experience shipping features or games in a production environment Excellent communication, ownership, and collaborative mindset Ability to work independently on feature development with moderate guidance Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows Nice to Have: Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent experience working in a development team Shipped games or features on Roblox or similar platforms Game jam or modding experience Familiarity with live game systems (analytics, economy tuning, balancing) Experience optimizing performance in multiplayer or real-time systems Tech Stack Roblox Lua scripting Backend services (AWS,Golang) Analytics pipelines (Snowflake,Tableau) Collaboration tools: GitHub, Discord Voldex is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements
