Leverage AI to Improve Engineering Velocity Use LLMs and modern AI development tools to accelerate workflows, understand complex systems, improve code quality, and increase delivery speed. Champion Engineering Excellence Help improve system reliability, observability, scalability, and performance while mentoring other engineers and contributing to a strong technical culture. What You'll Bring Technical Expertise 10+ years of professional software development experience. Deep expertise with TypeScript and modern JavaScript ecosystems. Strong experience designing and building scalable backend services using Node.js. Experience with GraphQL is preferred. Proven ability to build complex web applications using React and/or React Native. Engineering Leadership Experience operating at a Staff Engineer level, driving technical direction without requiring formal authority. Strong understanding of scalable architecture, system design, integrations, and distributed systems. Ability to make thoughtful technical decisions while balancing business needs and long-term maintainability. Startup Mindset A strong bias toward action with the ability to operate effectively in an environment with ambiguity and changing priorities. A track record of taking ownership, solving difficult problems, and delivering measurable impact. Comfortable working across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams. Builder’s Mindset Genuine passion for technology and building products that solve meaningful business problems. Experience in the building materials, construction, or related industries is an asset, but not required. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $160,000 - $220,000 CAD annually, depending on experience. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates located in Canada.
