Job summary
We are looking for Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer. This is a full-time permanent hire position with our client. You can work 100% remote (anywhere in USA or Canada) for this position. In this role as a Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for company's cloud environments, components-maintenance, optimization, issue analysis, automation, consulting and planning of cloud solutions. You should be able to work within established processes, and be able to leverage the latest tools, automation, and best practices. Responsibilities for a Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer: Design, create and maintain company's cloud solutions Automate cloud related tasks Maintain cloud environments in Azure and AWS Communicate with customers and resolve complex issues in production environments Automating service deployment and maintenance tasks Ability to read code Monitor database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing tuning strategies to improve query response times. Define user access controls, managing permissions, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data. Actively monitor database health, identifying potential issues, and resolving database related errors and anomalies. Apply software updates and patches to maintain database compatibility and security Required Skills as a Cloud Solutions Engineer: 10+ years of hands-on experience in an Infrastructure related role 4+ years of experience building, delivering, and managing public private and hybrid cloud computing platforms (Azure /AWS) and other open source and commercial DevOps technologies Must be an expert in complex Kubernetes environments and AWS 4+ years of hands-on experience working with Docker and Terraform Ability to read and write complex scripts to automate system deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance Solid communicator and ability to resolve more complex issues Experience using source code management tools Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres) a nice to have Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience Managed Services experience, e.g. ITSM & ITIL, for a plus Valid certificates in either AWS, Azure, Google or Oracle cloud is a huge plus
