We are seeking a full-time Junior Data Analyst to join our IT team. Reporting to the Director of Data Analytics, the Junior Data Analyst will support SureWerx leaders by translating business requirements into meaningful insights and dashboards using Power BI. This role will work closely with senior analysts and business stakeholders, gaining hands-on experience with operations, data integrations, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will possess strong technical aptitude, analytical thinking skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented setting. This position is a fully remote role based in Canada. While candidates from across Canada are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario. Responsibilities Power BI Development: Assist senior analysts to transform data sets into compelling data visualizations including dashboards, flowcharts, graphs and maps to effectively communicate trends and patterns. Assist senior analysts to define and implement best practices. Data Gathering and Preparation - Collaborate with all team members to understand data and its meaning for proper analysis. Develop complex data extraction and transformation scripts, including data linkages, to prepare data for analysis. Create, optimize and manage complex SQL queries and views. Requirements Gathering: Assist in documenting requirements from business stakeholders. Data & Integration Support - Assist with data cleaning, preparation, validation and data mapping activities. Support data migration, integrations, and reconciliation efforts. Daily Support: Provide ongoing support for Power BI users by monitoring status on issues, troubleshooting data-related and Power BI report issues, resolving technical issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement. System Development, Support and Testing: Assist in database design and maintenance. Develop test plans and conduct quality assurance testing prior to release of reports to business stakeholders.Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the created reports meet business requirements and function correctly. Assist in rollout of AI tools to accelerate reporting and analysis cycle. Training: Assist with training end-users. Presentations: Present to business stakeholders on the implemented reports and dashboards. Qualifications Proficient in Power BI, SQL, Copilot, MS Fabric, Excel and related technologies A bachelor's degree ideally in computer science or mathematics, or a related field is typically required 0–2 years of experience in a business systems, application support, or analyst role. Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle) is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non technical stakeholders. Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation for technical and non-technical audiences Collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing business needs Strong problem-solving skills, mathematical and analytical skills Organized, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast paced environment. Requirements
