We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Rail & Metro team in the UAE, where you'll play a key role in developing and assuring cybersecurity solutions for complex railway systems and infrastructure. Key Job Responsibilities: Lead cybersecurity engineering activities across concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC design stages. Develop and maintain cybersecurity requirements, security control specifications, threat models, risk registers, and mitigation strategies. Conduct cybersecurity risk, threat, vulnerability, and security impact assessments for railway systems and associated infrastructure. Coordinate cybersecurity requirements across Signaling, Train Control, Telecoms, SCADA, OCC, MEP, Power, and other connected railway systems. Review system architectures, network architectures, technical specifications, design documents, and supplier proposals to identify and address cybersecurity risks. Define cybersecurity requirements for system interfaces, communications networks, remote access, data exchange, and third-party systems. Review contractor and system supplier cybersecurity submissions, technical documentation, design proposals, and compliance evidence. Coordinate cybersecurity requirements with clients, contractors, system suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Support cybersecurity verification, design assurance, security validation, and testing activities. Provide technical support during system integration, installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure cybersecurity requirements are appropriately implemented. Ensure cybersecurity requirements remain traceable through design changes, system integration, testing, commissioning, and handover. Provide technical leadership and guidance to cybersecurity engineers and project stakeholders. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 12–13 years of overall engineering experience. Minimum 10 years of mandatory Rail & Metro experience. Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering for Rail & Metro or other safety-critical transportation environments. Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and railway control and communication systems. Experience in cybersecurity risk assessment, threat modelling, vulnerability assessment, security architecture, and security assurance. Knowledge of railway cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as EN 50701, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, or equivalent. Experience coordinating cybersecurity requirements across railway systems, communications networks, control systems, and multidisciplinary interfaces. Experience reviewing cybersecurity requirements, system architectures, technical specifications, supplier submissions, and security documentation. Understanding of network security, segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access, identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, and incident response. Experience supporting cybersecurity design assurance, system integration, testing, and commissioning. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with international engineering consultancies. Experience working with railway system integrators or major rail contractors. Experience in cybersecurity for automated railway systems and safety-critical environments. Familiarity with GCC and UAE project requirements. Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent. Experience supporting systems installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and technical verification.
