We are seeking a self-driven, dedicated developer to build and test risk and compliance surveillance models in a fast-paced Agile environment. The position requires end-to-end technical expertise spanning software design, full-stack (front-end and back-end) development, and DevOps automation. Working alongside Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and DevOps engineers, the candidate will translate complex model requirements into robust, high-performing solutions. Strong interpersonal skills and a highly collaborative mindset are essential for navigating cross-functional team dynamics, adapting to rapidly shifting priorities, and ensuring the seamless delivery of critical surveillance systems. Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week) Skills Required: 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in Java ecosystem Spark on big data platform experience DevOps CI/CD experience on test and release automation Strong Database experience preferably with DB2, SQL Server, PostGreSQL Complete SDLC process and Agile Methodology (Scrum) Excellent communication and ability to collaborate well with both technical and non-technical users Skill Desired: Experience with Scala-Containerized technique like on docker or podman Web UI experience using HTML5, JavaScript, Angular/React framework High-quality software architecture and design methodologies and patterns Work experience on workflow and Rule engine Hands on Data Mining and analytical work experience Layered Architecture, Component based Architecture Unix OS, Scripting, Python Native cloud experience like on Azure Design Patterns, preferably GoF set of patterns XML technologies including SAX, DOM, XSL, and SOAP Excel spreadsheet generation and use Desired experience with Spring Boot, Data access APIs such as JDBC

Requirements
Requires at least five years of hands-on software development experience in the Java ecosystem, experience with Spark on big data platforms, and DevOps CI/CD experience for test and release automation. Candidates should have strong database skills, knowledge of the full SDLC and Agile Scrum, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
