Senior Software Engineer (Contract Position) Number of openings: 1, 6months initial contract Location: Toronto, Mississauga, GTA Hybrid role, 3-4d/w onsite mandatory Must be eligible to work in Canada Roles and responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Software engineer to analyze, remediate, test, and validate security vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing and security assessments across legacy and modern .NET applications. Key Responsibilities Analyze and fix security vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing and vulnerability scans. Design, remediate, and maintain applications using .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, Web API, and WCF Services. Build and update responsive UI components using JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js. Support identity, authentication, and authorization solutions using Entra ID, Auth0, and AD-LDS. Develop and optimize MS SQL Server database objects and T-SQL queries. Manage CI/CD pipelines and source code using GitLab and TFS/Azure DevOps. Deploy and configure applications on IIS and Windows Server environments. Must have skills/experience/ qualifications & Requirements Experience: 5+ years in Microsoft application development with hands-on experience in penetration test remediation. Backend: Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, and WCF Services. Frontend: Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5/CSS3, Angular, or React. Database & DevOps: MS SQL Server/T-SQL, GitLab, Azure DevOps/TFS, IIS, and Windows Server. Security Standards: Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and secure coding principles. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
