Role – Backend Developer (Ruby/Golang) Location – Toronto - Onsite Mode - Contract Detail Job Description: • Develop and maintain backend applications, microservices, and REST APIs using Ruby and Golang. • Build scalable and reliable solutions for high-traffic applications. • Work with MySQL, Cassandra, and Redis for data storage and caching. • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability. • Collaborate with DevOps teams on AWS, CI/CD, monitoring, and deployments. • Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development activities. • Support application releases and critical production events. Required Skills: • Strong experience in Ruby and Golang development. • Expertise in REST APIs and Microservices architecture. • Hands-on experience with MySQL, Cassandra, and Redis. • Good understanding of scalability, performance tuning, and system design. • Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing. • Strong problem-solving and production support skills. • Good communication and teamwork skills. Nice to Have: • Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Exposure to monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or New Relic. • Experience with streaming, media, or other high-volume consumer applications. • Knowledge of authentication, subscriptions, payment, or analytics integrations.
