Job Title: QA Analyst Location: Bolton (3x per week on-site) Job Type: Full-time salaried We are seeking a Junior/Intermediate QA Analyst on behalf of our client. In this role you will help ensure the quality and reliability of our client’s flagship platform, through hands-on functional testing and a growing contribution to test automation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their QA career who wants to broaden their skills across manual testing, Playwright-based automation, and light database work in a collaborative, hybrid environment. Responsibilities: Plan and execute manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing on the Modern platform across new features and bug fixes. Write clear, well-organized test cases and document defects with detailed, reproducible steps. Contribute to our automated test suite by creating and maintaining end-to-end tests using Playwright, with support and code review from the team. Verify data and results directly in the database using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) when testing requires it. Perform small, straightforward database updates and queries to set up test conditions or validate expected outcomes. Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, and confirm fixes. Participate in release verification and help maintain quality standards across each deployment. Track and report on testing progress, defects, and overall product quality. Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in a software QA or testing role (co-op, internship, or related hands-on experience considered). Solid understanding of QA fundamentals: test case design, regression testing, and the defect lifecycle. Working knowledge of SQL and comfort using SSMS for basic queries and simple data updates. Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clear, reproducible bug reports. Good written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative, team-first attitude. Able to work on a hybrid schedule based out of our Bolton, Ontario office. Exposure to test automation, ideally with Playwright (or a similar framework such as Cypress or Selenium). Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how modern web applications are structured. Experience with version control (Git) and working in an agile/Scrum environment. Familiarity with bug-tracking and test-management tools. A genuine interest in growing toward a more automation-focused QA role over time.
