About

There are 50 mandated Children’s Aid Societies (CASs) and Indigenous Child and Family Well-Being Agencies in Ontario. OACAS is an association representing 49 member organizations. Of these, 47 are mandated CASs and Indigenous Child and Family Well-Being Agencies and two are pre-mandated Indigenous agencies. On behalf of our membership, OACAS provides advocacy and government relations, public education, training, information and knowledge management, and communications services. OACAS is governed by a voluntary board of directors. OACAS works with member agencies, community and provincial partners, and government to support positive change to the Ontario child welfare system.
