What We Do The Enterprise Financial Services Division delivers financial services to the ministries and agencies of the Government of Ontario. These services include expenditure processing, revenue processing and collections, corporate card services, general accounting, reconciliation, operations support, and application maintenance as well as the ongoing development and support of IFIS, the OPS enterprise financial system using Oracle eBusiness Suite Release 12.2.11. The Business Application Solutions Support branch (BASS) specifically supports and manages the day to day operations for all the financial modules (Accounts Payables, Account Receivables, iExpenses, General Ledger, etc). We support all government ministries including 42,000 plus users. We work with our business clients to define requirements, provide fit gap assessments, propose solution design, update system configurations, test technical solutions, implement enhancements and projects and provide post implementation support. About the job As a Team Lead, you will: • lead the support and development of the Integrated Financial Information System (IFIS) • provide advice and guidance to management on system planning and improvements • manage projects from design to implementation, ensuring timelines and quality • create standards and tools for business intelligence and train users • build strong relationships with vendors, service providers, and internal teams • supervise and guide technical staff and external service providers What you bring to the team Technical Knowledge and Expertise You have: • knowledge and expertise with Oracle eBusiness Financial Suite, custom and third-party applications, governance, business analysis, and financial policy to oversee the comprehensive analyses of IFIS-eBusiness Financial Suite solutions and production problems • knowledge of application support and functional design techniques and methodologies to conduct related activities for integrated financial business systems • knowledge of structured testing techniques and financial business processes • knowledge of performance measurement principles, performance metrics, quality assurance standards and client satisfaction measurement • the ability to understand financial business processes in order to develop business solutions Financial Systems and Business Processes You have: • in-depth knowledge of financial business processes and accrual accounting • the ability to understand and use financial management frameworks, policies, and compliance standards common in large organizations such as the Ontario Public Service (OPS) • the ability to provide production support and develop application solutions for the Integrated Financial Information System (IFIS) • the ability to learn and apply performance management and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial systems Analytical and Project Leadership Skills You have: • research, evaluation, and problem-solving skills to identify innovative solutions and improve business intelligence practices • expertise in project management techniques for multi-year, complex initiatives, including resource planning and risk mitigation • the ability to develop performance metrics, quality assurance standards, and manage operational performance • skills in change management and business process improvement to lead organizational transformation Technical Leadership Skills • You have experience and skills in providing technical leadership to team members, ensuring deliverables are met Relationship Management and Communication Skills: You have: • oral and written communication skills for reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement • the ability to advise, influence, and negotiate with senior management, vendors, and service providers • relationship-building skills to foster collaboration among clients, technical teams, and external partners • the ability to mentor and guide teams, promoting effective workflows and standards Don't meet every qualification?
