This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week on-site and can be filled out of: Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal or Calgary ________________________________________ Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to join a Risking Pod as part of a large-scale transformation and modernization initiative. This role will contribute to a modern microservices ecosystem, working across core services, decision rules engine integrations, and ML model endpoints. The successful candidate will be highly hands-on, contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable cloud-native solutions while demonstrating strong business acumen, ownership, collaboration, and a quality-first mindset. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using NodeJS and TypeScript. Build and operate cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Functions, Event Hub, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, and SQL Server. Integrate and wrap ML model endpoints and decision rules engines in a reliable, observable, and secure manner. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed systems. Collaborate with product owners, domain experts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery through CI/CD and DevOps practices. Promote high code quality through strong testing practices and adherence to the testing pyramid. Contribute to system observability and operational excellence using monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana. Provide technical mentorship and contribute positively to team culture. Support containerized solutions using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Work with API gateways and related platform engineering technologies. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with NodeJS and TypeScript in production environments. Solid understanding of microservice architectures, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems. Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Functions, Events, storage, security, and data components. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and platform engineering concepts. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and API Gateways. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience with Azure DevOps. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivery. Ability to align technical decisions with business outcomes. Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable participating actively in remote team collaboration and working on camera when required. Willingness to work onsite when required. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications Experience integrating decision rules engines such as DMP/DRE. Experience working with ML model endpoints or MLOps-driven solutions. Experience with Grafana or similar monitoring and observability tools. Experience mentoring developers or providing technical leadership within an Agile team.
