Job details

Responsibilities: Analyze data and design semantic models Transform raw data into silver/gold data for reporting consumption. Design, develop, and release deploy Power BI reports and dashboards meeting KPIs including accuracy, reliability and performance. Review business requirements (and related materials) to use as input for design/development of reports Design technical systems specifications to translate into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests. Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations. Provide specialized skills for developing data access queries Works in conjunction with data analysts for developing dashboards and other end user reporting products Supports Client’s wide-ranging business information requirements, implementing and supporting OLAP analytical software solutions Develops and supports customized query applications which analyze key business data Requirements Experience and Skill Set Requirements: Must Haves: 6+ years experience as Azure technologies including Azure Databricks Azure DataLake Gen 2. Power BI development and semantic modeling Azure DevOps CI/CD PySpark Microsoft Fabric Star Schema or Snowflake data modeling experience Orchestration & Ingestion: Proficiency using Data Factory within Fabric to build complex, scalable data pipelines. Business Intelligence: Designing efficient Direct Lake semantic models in Power BI using Silver/Gold layer models to ensure high-speed reporting directly from OneLake. Use of semantic models to design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards. Develop operational and analytical PowerBI reports/paginated reports. Skill Set Requirements: Mandatory Skills and Experience: 6+ years experience as Azure technologies including Azure Databricks Azure DataLake Gen 2. Power BI development and semantic modeling Azure DevOps CI/CD PySpark Microsoft Fabric Star Schema or Snowflake data modeling experience Orchestration & Ingestion: Proficiency using Data Factory within Fabric to build complex, scalable data pipelines. Business Intelligence: Designing efficient Direct Lake semantic models in Power BI using Silver/Gold layer models to ensure high-speed reporting directly from OneLake. Use of semantic models to design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards. Develop operational and analytical PowerBI reports/paginated reports. Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) v2 Data Architecture & Engineering: Competency in building Lakehouses and Warehouses, writing optimized PySpark or SQL pipelines, and implementing Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers). Data Governance: Data security (row-level/column-level), and data lineage tracking.

Requirements
