Standard Job Description Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. As part of the Product Engineering team, the candidate will lead the definition and evolution of hardware-enabled product solutions that support mission-critical Naval Combat Management Systems (CMS). The role connects customer mission needs, operational environments, and product objectives to deliver adaptable hardware solutions across current and future naval platforms. Specific Position Responsibilities The candidate will perform the following: Lead the definition, design and delivery of mission-focused hardware product solutions for Naval CMS. Convert mission and operational needs into viable hardware product concepts and configurations. Drive the evolution of hardware solutions across product generations and naval platforms. Assess emerging technologies and their applicability to CMS hardware solutions. Establish product-level approaches for equipment selection, configuration, reuse, and modernization. Balance operational capability, integration, maintainability, availability, obsolescence, and cost considerations. Work across engineering and program disciplines to mature solutions from concept through deployment. Support customer engagement and business development activities with compelling hardware solution concepts. Contribute to product strategy, roadmaps, and future capability planning. Support to project planning and execution tracking. Work scope Basis of Estimate (BOE) development. Basic Qualifications Required Skills Possesses a bachelor’s in engineering or related area of study with minimum five years of professional experience in field, or minimum three years of professional experience with a related master’s degree Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical members of the engineering/management staff and personnel assigned to related work Proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suite. Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Knowledge of requirement management for HW lifecycle, from design to procurement and obsolescence Desired Skills Desired Skills The Following Skills And Certification Are Considered As Assets Experience leading product development via Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence Familiarity with Earned Value Management Experienced in project management and planning tools such as Microsoft Project Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Cameo, Jira, Windchill, Confluence Familiarity with configuration management processes

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and at least five years of professional experience, or a related master’s degree and at least three years of experience. Candidates should communicate effectively, be proficient with Microsoft Office, and have familiarity with MBSE and hardware lifecycle requirements management; Agile, project planning, earned value management, and configuration management experience are assets.
