Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale enterprise applications. The role involves translating technical specifications into robust solutions, working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and supporting complex Oracle-based systems and modern web architectures. Key Responsibilities Translate technical system specifications into scalable, high-quality applications Develop detailed programming specifications and write efficient, maintainable code Perform unit testing, debugging, and application support Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and post-deployment Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout SDLC Design, develop, test, and document enterprise applications Participate in design walkthroughs and technical discussions Support implementation, migration, and system enhancements Provide post-implementation support and documentation Core Requirements (Must Have) 10+ years of experience in designing and developing large-scale web applications 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java + Oracle/SQL databases 5+ years experience with REST APIs / RESTful Web Services Strong experience in Microservices Architecture Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Clean Code, Refactoring Strong understanding of Agile methodologies Experience with Azure DevOps Technical Skills Security protocols: JWT, OAuth2.0, SSL Certificates Database expertise: Relational & hierarchical DBs, SQL tuning, partitioning Experience with query languages & information retrieval tools Knowledge of communication protocols & middleware/gateways Experience with Internet-ready applications & RAD methodologies Requirements Oracle-Specific Expertise (Highly Preferred) Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules: GL, AR, AP, Collections, Inventory Strong programming skills in: PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle Data Integrator Experience with ETL, Data Warehousing, OBIEE Knowledge of Oracle ADF & Java integration Experience conducting impact assessments on Oracle customizations. Soft Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills Proven ability to work effectively within large teams Nice to Have Experience working with Ontario Public Service (OPS) or public sector Knowledge of AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) Experience with design walkthroughs & documentation

Requirements

Requires 10+ years of experience developing large-scale web applications and hands-on Java and Oracle/SQL experience, plus 5+ years working with REST APIs and strong expertise in microservices, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and Agile. Oracle E-Business Suite, PL/SQL, Oracle Data Integrator, ETL, data warehousing, and related Oracle technologies are highly preferred; strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills are also required.
