Title- UI Developer or Frontend Developer Location- Toronto ON Long Term Contract Job Summary We are seeking a senior UI / Front-End Developer with 8+ years of experience to design and build responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications. In this role, you will architect modern user interfaces, integrate complex backend services, and ensure seamless user experiences for our large-scale, data-driven financial systems. Key Responsibilities • UI Architecture: Architect and develop robust, maintainable, and scalable front-end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks. • API Integration: Connect and integrate front-end applications seamlessly with backend services and RESTful APIs. • Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize web applications to ensure maximum speed, responsiveness, and high performance. • Standards & Accessibility: Implement and enforce enterprise UI standards, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and strict adherence to web accessibility (WCAG) guidelines. • Collaboration: Partner with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and product stakeholders to deliver transactional, data-heavy user experiences. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience: Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in front-end or UI development, preferably within enterprise or financial environments. • Core Tech Stack: Deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+). • Web Fundamentals: Advanced knowledge of responsive web design, HTML5, CSS3, and core UI architecture patterns. • Data Integration: Proven experience handling asynchronous data flows and integrating with REST APIs. • Systems Exposure: Familiarity building and maintaining large-scale, high-transactional web applications. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of the Banking or Capital Markets domain. • Front Office Exposure: Experience working closely with Front Office business lines, trading desks, or portfolio management teams. • Financial Systems: Familiarity with high-throughput transactional platforms, market data feeds, or financial dashboards.
