Senior .NET Web Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior .NET Web Developer based in Canada. This is an opportunity for an experienced software engineer to contribute to the development and evolution of enterprise-grade web and mobile applications. You will work across the full application lifecycle, from architecture and development through testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, requiring strong judgment when solving complex problems and modernizing legacy systems. You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders while helping establish development standards and best practices. You will also have the opportunity to work with emerging technologies while contributing to scalable, secure, and cloud-ready solutions. \n Accountabilities: Design, develop, test, debug, and implement new web-based and mobile applications using .NET and related technologies. Maintain, enhance, and modernize existing C# applications, including re-architecting legacy solutions to improve scalability, maintainability, and cloud readiness. Design and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, and related data components. Contribute to application architecture, technical design documentation, development standards, and best practices. Monitor application security, integrity, performance, and reliability across the software lifecycle. Provide production support by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues. Communicate project progress, identify technical risks, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout delivery. Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other team members and contribute as both a team member and technical lead when required. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with product requirements, industry trends, and long-term technical strategy. Support application planning, deployment, upgrades, and implementations, including occasional off-hours activities when required. Requirements: 8+ years of professional software development experience, preferably involving large-scale enterprise applications. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong expertise in the .NET platform and C#, with solid experience designing and developing enterprise software solutions. Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ and T-SQL, including database development and optimization. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and Analysis Services (SSAS). Strong working knowledge of HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Bootstrap. Experience creating and consuming web services, with working knowledge of XML. Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and TFS, including application build and deployment processes. Strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to design creative solutions for complex technical problems. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of networking and server administration is an asset. Familiarity with AI techniques such as neural network programming, Genetic Algorithm Framework for .NET (GAF), or steering behavior programming is considered an additional asset.
