Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Experience: 7+ Years Domain: Banking / Capital Markets Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Securitization QA Engineer with a strong background in Banking and Capital Markets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing securitization platforms, structured finance products, and financial applications. The candidate should be proficient in manual and automation testing, SQL, API testing, and end-to-end validation of financial data. Must-Have Skills 7+ years of QA experience in Banking or Capital Markets. Strong knowledge of Securitization, Structured Finance, Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), or Fixed Income products. Experience creating test plans, test cases, and executing functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing. Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and database testing. Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools. Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Good-to-Have Skills Automation testing experience using Selenium, Java, or Python. Knowledge of ETL testing and data warehouse validation. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Understanding of financial messaging standards and data flows. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab. Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for securitization applications. Validate financial data, calculations, and reporting across multiple systems. Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing. Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand business requirements. Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution. Validate data integrity using SQL queries and backend testing. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release activities. Ensure software quality and compliance with banking standards and regulatory requirements. Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in Canada.

What you’ll do

Design and execute test plans to validate financial data and reporting for securitization applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects and ensure compliance with banking regulatory standards.

Requirements

Requires over 7 years of QA experience in Banking or Capital Markets with deep knowledge of structured finance products. Proficiency in SQL, API testing, and experience in Agile environments is essential.
