Intermediate Software Developer

We’re looking for an intermediate to senior level software developer who shares our altruism. It’s not an easy job. The right individual will have no issues designing systems or writing code that scales for thousands of concurrent enterprise users. You approach software development as a balance of creativity, precision, and modern tooling, using AI where it helps, and your own judgment where it matters most. Expectations Must have at least 4 years of development experience working on production SAAS solutions (preferably multi-tenant design) You’re comfortable with AI-assisted development workflows and know how to use iterative prompt-build-test-refine loops to explore ideas, improve code quality, speed up debugging, and deliver better software without outsourcing your (very much needed) engineering judgment You write secure, efficient, performant, stable production code and demand the same from your peers when you review their code You’re comfortable with full stack development whether it’s tweaking scaling settings in our cloud services dashboard, designing the microservice architecture, or putting together user interface solutions that feel natural for end-users You enjoy occasional technical support because it gives you a direct opportunity to learn from education professionals -- you understand they aren’t an obstacle to be overcome but a sharpening stone that helps turn good solutions into great solutions You are fearless in trying new technologies and processes Requirements Proven experience designing high scalability software systems An understanding of microservice and multi-tenancy SaaS design Practical experience using AI development tools such as Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and code review workflows It would be considered an asset if you’ve worked with React/Typescript, Golang, Postgres, and or Kubernetes because these are a few of our favourite things Excellent knowledge of both relational and noSQL databases relational database management using ORM’s Ability to travel for professional development, conferences, hackathons, and rare on-site meetings (we’re fully remote, but we do like to get together and hang out once in a while) You’re a sci-fi or fantasy buff who can tell the difference between a Jedi and a Sith; the team may be willing to compromise for an individual who is capable of summarizing the Silmarillion Perks Robust health spending account that covers 100% of expenses up to your total account limit (with dependency support) An excellent environment to learn modern technology and work in a safe, resilient industry
