Our AI Scribe turns clinical conversations into structured documentation; alongside it we're building CareID, a portable professional-identity layer trademarked in Canada and the US. We have a live clinical pilot running in Brazil and are part of the Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate cohort. We're a small, founder-led team where your work ships and matters. The role We're hiring our next AI Engineer to work on the hard, unsolved problems at the core of clinical documentation: making AI transcription and note generation reliable on real, messy, multilingual clinical speech. You'll work directly with our technical leadership on model evaluation, prompt and pipeline design, and the accuracy and reliability of our AI features — with real ownership from day one. What you'll do Build and improve our AI documentation pipeline (speech-to-text + LLM-based note generation) Design evaluation frameworks to measure and improve clinical accuracy Work on reliability, context integrity, and multilingual performance Collaborate closely with a small team where your decisions have visible impact What we're looking for 2–4 years of software engineering experience, or early-career with a strong portfolio of real projects Hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML tooling (LLM APIs, NLP, or similar) Someone who wants ownership, mentorship, and growth over a big-company salary Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage startup Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (citizen or permanent resident) — this role is a full-time position on our Canadian payroll Compensation & why this is worth it Salary range: $65,000–$80,000, plus meaningful equity Direct mentorship from senior leadership and real career acceleration Genuine ownership of features that ship to real clinicians A mission that matters: reducing burnout and giving clinicians their time back
