Job details

Senior Mobile Developer (iOS + Android) Company: Bloomic | FH Health Location: Remote | Open to international candidates About Bloomic Bloomic, part of FH Health, builds software for healthcare. Our products include an electronic medical record (EMR) platform and mobile apps used every day by clinic staff and patients at Pollin Fertility, a fertility clinic with locations in Toronto and Ottawa. We build with AI at the core. Our developers use Claude Code and OpenAI Codex every day. We work prototype-first: product owners build a working prototype, engineers agree on the technical approach, then we build, test and release. We’re looking for developers who already work this way. The Role You will own our iOS and Android apps and contribute to the backend when a feature requires it. You’ll work directly with product owners, designers and our engineering lead. The team is small, so your work reaches patients and clinic staff quickly. What You’ll Do Build and maintain our native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) apps. Turn prototypes and designs into production features. Build and modify backend endpoints and data models when a mobile feature requires them. Use Claude Code and Codex to plan, write, test and review code, and independently validate AI-generated code before it ships. Write unit, integration and UI tests. Release apps through App Store Connect and Google Play Console, and monitor crashes and performance after releases. Review code and help establish mobile development standards. Handle patient data securely and follow applicable privacy, security and confidentiality requirements. Raise technical risks, blockers and security issues early. What You Need 5+ years of experience building native mobile applications. Strong, recent production experience with both Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android), including experience shipping apps to both the App Store and Google Play. Experience with SwiftUI or UIKit, and Jetpack Compose or Android Views. Backend experience, including building and modifying REST APIs, working with relational databases and debugging server-side code. At least 6 months of daily, hands-on experience using Claude Code and OpenAI Codex on real development work. You can explain how you prompt, review and test AI-generated code. Experience with authentication (OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect), secure on-device storage and sensitive data. Experience with Git, pull requests and mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions or Bitrise. Professional working English, written and spoken (B2 or higher). Most of our communication is written. Experience working remotely and independently with teams across time zones. Nice to Have Experience working with healthcare, fintech or other regulated data. Experience with push notifications, secure messaging, in-app chat or booking features. Experience with offline support and data synchronization. Cloud experience with AWS, Google Cloud or Azure. What We Offer The opportunity to work on products used every day by healthcare teams and patients. A team that treats AI tools as a core part of how we build. We provide access to Claude and Codex. Direct collaboration with product and engineering leads and a fast-moving development environment. The opportunity to have a meaningful impact on products used in a real healthcare environment. Working Arrangement Full-time engagement. Availability for at least 6 hours of daily overlap with the Toronto team, generally between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM ET. Reliable internet access, with a backup plan for power and connectivity. Ability to legally provide independent contractor services from your country of residence. Completion of required confidentiality, privacy and security requirements before beginning the engagement. Equal Opportunity Bloomic welcomes applications from qualified people of all backgrounds. We thank all applicants for their interest. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
