Manager, IT Governance and Compliance

Position and Responsibilities

In this leadership role you will be responsible to oversee a number of functions to ensure effective operation and achievement of expected outcomes for the business technology services (BTS) department. This includes IT portfolio, project, change, problem and risk management. You will work to develop and improve the current BTS control environment including assessing, identifying, monitoring and coordinating the remediation of compliances issues, to ensure BTS is in compliance with identified IT internal controls. You will also assist the BTS management team to establish and maintain the overall IT governance framework.

You will lead a small team of professionals by successfully managing team resources, budgets and performance.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
  • Twelve years of experience in an enterprise IT environment, with a minimum of five of those in areas IT service management and/or application development/administration
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered 
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Extensive relationship management experience with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with core business practices outside of IT
  • CISA or CGEIT Certification

Assets:

  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
  • ITIL or PMI certifications
