As a member of the Engineering - Calibration & Mechatronic Department and reporting to the Mechatronics Software Development Team Leader, your role will focus on software development for vehicle functions. Your responsibilities will extend from assessing requirements and understanding needs to final software release.


  • Developing and simulating Matlab/Simulink algorithms to produce control solutions for electromechanical environments;
  • Working with the Mechatronics team to define future guidelines regarding development and validation strategies for high-level software layers;
  • Developing control and diagnostic functions for electronic modules;
  • Producing project specifications to support calls for tender to electrical and electronic equipment vendors;
  • Developing and conducting all test plans required to validate technical solutions, while taking into account established norms and standards;
  • Collaborating with suppliers to develop electrical and electronic components, and establish project deadlines and standards.


  • Bachelor in electrical engineering or equivalent;
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
  • Fluent bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written) essential.
  • Knowledge of embedded C, Matlab and Simulink programming;
  • A keen understanding and ability to integrate the interplay of electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical principles;
  • Logical mindset capable of creating effective, optimized control algorithms;
  • Understanding of vehicle communication networks (CAN) and related protocols;
  • Analytical skills, a marked ability to resolve complex problems, and a creative, innovative mindset;
  • Comfortable in an environment where technical solutions are unknown, no solution pathways have been set, and predictive analysis methods are used;
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented personality;
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects;
  • Available for occasional travel.
