As a senior advisor for system and infrastructure operations, maintenance and development, you will contribute to IT efficiency. You design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade computer networks, management systems and database servers in accordance with the organization's needs.

You lead and influence practitioners on business relations, development projects and complex, highly innovative strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors. You help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your field.

You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

You serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert for IT infrastructure operations and other matters, as well as resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies.

Additional responsibilities

  • Make a strategic diagnosis, develop scenarios and solve unique and complex problems that have an impact across Desjardins Group.
  • Develop and implement business practices that meet clients' complex business needs while honouring Desjardins Group's commitments and acting in accordance with its priorities.
  • Design solutions that meet highly complex needs, recommend implementation strategies and priorities, and coordinate the delivery of work.
  • Develop implementation oversight mechanisms for innovative solutions you design.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders working in a wide variety of fields of expertise.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of a relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in the Oracle Cloud environment (5-10 years)
  • Experience in Oracle OFSAA, OBIEE, EBS, Hyperion financial systems
  • Relevant application architecture experience
  • Experience working in a SAP environment
  • Experience in PL/SQL programming
  • Relevant experience in Weblogic, AIX, Linux and Unix
  • Experience with Agile methods
  • Experience with ITIL processes
  • Experience coordinating a team
  • Experience with large-scale projects and maintaining good relationships with existing solutions partners
