We are looking for a Scrum Master to work with our engineering and product teams to improve the awesomeness of our applications and services.

To be specific, responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for guiding 1-2 team(s)
  • Help software development teams to apply the Scrum framework
  • Plan deliverables and help the teams to monitor performance
  • Resolve issues that hinder the teams' work
  • Ensure the team follows standard agile processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Facilitates team in defining Working Agreements, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done and then ensures those agreements are upheld.
  • Identify and help to remove impediments, escalate impediments to the product and solutions managers; recommend ways to resolve impediments, and influence leadership to act on these recommendations.
  • Build trusted relationships with the team, the Product Owner and their stakeholders to ensure the needs of all team members are being met.
  • Keep the team focused on the right priorities, and ensure the team is continuously improving
  • Help the team to inspect and adapt processes through retrospectives, data/metrics tracking and creating a safe, trusting environment with space to grow.  Coaching them to higher levels of performance.
  • Assist with internal and external communication and improve transparency by creating visible information radiators (burndowns, velocity chart, etc), dashboards and demos.  Provide metric reports to assist in product roadmap planning.
  • Ensure team's backlogs are sufficiently full at all times (at minimum 2-3 sprints worth of work defined).

  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • 4-8 years in IT or related business experience
  • Experience providing project, product, or team leadership.
  • 4 years of experience as Scrum Master for a software development team utilizing SDLC
  • 3-4 years of experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, TDD, etc.) and toolsets (Atlassian suite, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management fundamentals as defined by the Project Management Institute in the Project Management Body of Knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creativity, autonomy, team player, organizing skills
  • Ideally you are bilingual (but if you've got good English or French, you'll be fine)
